Default Area 51

Zion Park in Utah June 28, 2014 on our way to Area 51 (sort of) went to restraunt close by.

They do exist, one of our crazy riders, riding one of those spacey Goldwings.

Yes proof I was there. Yes the Victory made it through the heat. It did get pretty hot in the Vegas traffic later that day.

Yes my Cross Roads is in the picture way over on the far right with that bright yellow helmet on the seat. Pictures are out of order,ok. It was a good trip.

Buckeye, Arizona(USA) 2011 Victory Cross Roads, Black police bag guards, black engine guards, black handle bars, Triumph Tiger mirrors, Triumph hand grips, set speedo/tach back 5" , adjustable timing wheel, Lloyzz Fuel Programmer III & air filter. Speedblue...

In the first photo the XR on the right has a small fairing...do you have / could you post, an additional photo of it? What brand is it ?

I have considered something similar for mine and am curious about the look.

Thanks !

Default MRA---small mod to shield

For this long trip I went ahead and cut out to small winglets or side extensions for the MRA windshield. I really like the windshield or fairing, I do like it better now with this small mod. I got it off of e-Bay for around $180 if I remember right. Good quality, shipped to me in less than 2 weeks. I do believe the small spoiler works, some do not I am told.

The mirrors are not Victory, they are off a Triumph 1050 Tiger 2007.

Default Nice emblem on helmet.

PaiN nice emblem on helmet. The food place is the only thing around that area besides what is hidden over the mountains. Pretty cool(though hot) trip. Wish we could have stayed around for the night time adventures maybe we could have seen a show in the sky

Thanks-a-bunch for the photos...I have a [if your familiar] Wunderlich fairing for a BMW, that is similar in size...it comes down around the headlight a bit more. Was wondering if it would look OK? & work for any wind deflection? How is the air around that one? Was it necessary to move the speedo/tach back the 5" ? or was it something you just chose to do?

I might dabble with mine see how it looks?

Default Rgp

RGP the fairing to me is much better than the Victory clear shield(barn door) IOP. With the stock shield I had a lot of buffeting even with lowers on it. I am 5'7" and have a 30" inseam, so for me I did put up with the stock windshield for many miles. The stock one would bug me with speeds over 75mph. This MRA is much better after putting it on I took the bike up to 110mph and no buffeting. The width of the shield is kind of narrow so for this trip I put some side extensions on it, worked out good. I do not get the wind on the shoulders with the extensions on the sides if that makes sence, longer trips you do start noticing little things that bug you,ha,ha. The speedo and tach I moved back on the bike shortly after getting the bike. I moved them back so I could see the gauges at night easier, I had a hard time seeing the fuel gauge level. I am near sighted and as I get older I have a harder time seeing at night. My glasses are also bi-focals.---On the windshield/fairing , wish I would not have wasted my money on the stock Victory windshield, yes I do know lots of people like it, just not me, money well spent for me on the MRA.

Again...Thanks. The one I have is 17" tall & 14" at the widest point. It has a dark tint shield.

I'm 6'1" and do get the buffeting above ...say 60 & up. So I might fab up a mount & see what it is like. If the [flow] is nicer ? I'm thinking the extra air will be nice on hot days. and I can always put on the big shield for cooler/cold weather if necessary.

Ness makes a couple Bikini fairings , but no mounts for the XR..I believe Memphis Shades has one as well ? but I'll try the one I have first.
