Default ! NEW - Victory bikes (potentially available @ Indian dealerships

There is a new "win a Victory" promotion going that appears to have kicked off 2012. It is where you "sign up" online to demo a Victory for a test ride in order to "Qualify" for the contest.

The interesting thing here is that I was given not only Victory dealers as choices, but was also given the local Indian dealership (in Lowel, NC) as an option so of course, I picked it on my request to ride a XCT so that I can compare the effects of lowers to my Ness XC without them.

If this is accurate, it implies that the Victory bikes might be stocked at the Indian Dealerships contrary to what we had previously heard from corporate. I say this because these particular "demo rides" are NOT tied to a demo truck but rather can (apparently) be scheduled almost any time you may desire (including this weekend or even tomorrow for my choice). Should be interesting to see if this goes through or gets "kicked back out"...

I don't understand your post. Almost EVERY sweepstakes includes the ability of the company running the sweepstakes to market to you. That is the WHOLE POINT of the ADVERTISING (which is what any promotion actually is anyway). You can ALWAYS "opt out" after you have entered if you don't want the emails. All you are doing by entering is saying that you will accept some initial emails...maybe. Nothing else.

It's not the advertising that I mind. It's the "Sharing" of personal information, like my name, address, phone number. I don't know about you but I get enough crap in all of my mail boxes without consent/legal agreement.

Bhax,
Easy fix on this one buddy. All you have to do is spell out your middle name (when given the option) or spell our Road/Street/Avenue when you enter your address. Most mailers are automated and will address to match your inputs so if you see mail with the address format you use from anywhere other than the site you egistered on you use it is an indication that your data was sold to other companies.

There is big buisness in this with mailers and callers. For example when you tell a telemarketer not to call anymore you data is flagged. They will not call anymore (unless they unknowingly buy your data back) but one or more buisnesses they sell your data to will.

Two things I always do: Use a phony birthday and insert a phony middle initial, one that will help me know where the mailing came from.

The Indian Dealer in Charlotte is now a full Victory Dealership. While we are just getting started with our new brand Victory, we are senior motorcycle folks. We have just recieved our first few bikes, but will be a full line dealer with just about every Vic model and most every color. We will also have the full line of apparel and accessories and have one of the best service shops in the industry.

Our only and total focus is our two Polaris brands, Victory and Indian. We are the number one Indian Dealer in the world and also a multi-time winner of the Dealer News Top 100 Award. This should give some indication that we are serious about our clients and our motorcycles. I look forward to meeting you...

Mark - This is GREAT news!!! My Ness XC #120 & at least 5 other Victory owners (I know of personally) will be coming there for service. Most of us are north of Charlotte and have are in agreement that each time we have to go to the existing Victory dealer in our area, we don't get good service (order wrong parts, don't know what parts they ordered, won't let us see what they are "supposedly" doing to our bikes, etc). REALLY looking forward to a quality experience and having visited your business before, I KNOW you guys are the right thing for this area. Thanks for picking up and servicing the full Victory line!!!

PS - I decided not to do a demo ride at this time because I decided that I don't want to give up the forged bars.
