Default Laughlin River Run

Anybody been to this in the past? I am thinking about going as was wondering if it is worth it or just a waste of time.

Also if have have gone and have tips on what to do and where to stay or stay away from would be nice.

I live about 20 miles from Laughlin and have gone to it many times. It is a blast.

Depending on what you like to do, it can be fun or a pain. There are so many things to do, so many great bikes to see and wonderful people to meet. I could post about 30 pages on here about it and never cover them all.

At this late date, if you are planning on going this year, be prepared to get a hotel/camp site a long ways from Laughlin. Most of the best places are booked a year or two in advance. (I do have several campsites in my yard for those that are a wee bit hardier) I know that motels and hotels as far as 50 miles from Laughlin are sometimes fulley booked.

It can be very hot, so if you do come on down, be sure to have a lot of sunblock.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to send me a message.

The wife and I have gone a few times, and always looked forward to the following year. Seems to be room packages still available, some with VIP parking (which I suggest getting).
The only thing we didnt care for was returning to the hotel shortly after the poker run or similar event. The traffice makes getting back across the bridge HOT and a real PAIN. We learned this the first year we went. The following years we always planned to extend our rides. There are lots of places to go and visit. Hell, once we just followed the river, visited a couple dams, and before we realized it we were gone an extra 5 hours and had to time of our lives.

Just my 2 cents worth here. I know we will go again once we get another bike, but it doesnt look like it will happen in time to go this year.

Forgot to mention, if you go and want to rest for the night before the final leg, we have a spare room here and your welcome to stay the night.
We are in Saint George Utah. Just send me a message if you deside to go this route.

We will be flying into Phoenix riding from there so unfortunately we will not be able to make to you neck of the woods. However I want to thank you for the generous offer.

It's not the event it used to be but has picked up a tad bit in the past few years. Last year was one of the best since the shootout. Hotels are readily available and I could have stayed on the strip there last year even though I booked my hotel a week in advance of the event. I opted to go cheap though and stayed across the river in Bullhead City. I wish I had coughed up the extra bucks for a strip room and if you drink I would highly suggest that you do just that. Lots of entertainment put up by the hotels, good music and some good times. Be sure to ride out to Oatman, AZ while you are there, interesting for a half a day and about a 30 minute ride.
