Default 12v outlet?

Has anyone installed a 12 volt outlet on a Vegas?

Any concerns with doing so? Went on long ride the other day and phone died. Took wrong turn and could have really used a 12v charger.

If anyone has installed can you post the part you used and where you installed it and how well it works?

I bought a waterproof 12 volt outlet for a few bucks at Walmart, wired it with an inline fuse right from the battery on my other bike, a 2004 Shadow 1100, right between the front seat and the driver side rear shock and sealed the area off to waterproof it for certain. Took 15 minutes and the time for it to dry. I could plug in my phone while leaving it in my pocket or in the saddle bag on that side. Came in real handy in the mountains at bike week last year, I'll be doing the same to my Jackpot this season.
