I put them on my 2011 XR. They sound beefy but not too loud unless you get on it good. I like them lots.
The fit and finish is awesome. I wondered why the tips were so much until I had them in my hand. They are a work of art themselves.

No I just put them on. Intake has more to do with that aspect than exhaust, and the system should make up for any necessary changes.

Here's a couple pics. I think this style fits the bike pretty well. I just got back from a 5,000 mile trip out west and the bike was awesome. I took out the fiberglass packing the other day which made it have a little more bark but not obnoxious.

Any chance you could do a sound clip? Would also love a side view to see how they meet up with the stock head pipes. I am really trying to decide on a new exhaust.
