Default Simple Speedo Question

I have a '99 V92c. When I bought it (used) the digital face plate was cracked but working. Shortly there after it stopped and I found a replacement on ebay. Unfortunately the original speedo was the upgraded model (green turn indicators), the ebay replacement was the old version (amber indicators). Well I have found a new replacement and it's the most recent rev however there are dents and scratches in the chrome trim ring.

My question is can I get the trim ring off and replace it with one of the others?

I wish someone would answer you... My speedo needle seems to have fallen off my 05 and I cannot figure out how to get the glass off either!

LOL. Well it's not that common an issue. Here's where I'm at with the '99. I now have 3 speedos (just in time for summer), 1 Fully functional and two with good chrome. The chrome is pressed on, so there's no easy fix. I'm going to try prying up the underside on one of the bad speedos If I can get that then I should be able to remove the other and swap them. Then gently tap the replacement ring down and seal it with a little epoxy.

Now some friends of mine that do restoration work did recommend a gauge restoration specialist. So I have a plan B. Keep You posted.
