Default Misfire @ 2000-2600 RPM

2012 Vegas (mods in signature) - 3,800 miles

Here are several things that might help diagnose the issue? At WOT, bike seems just fine. This happens mainly at 2-10% throttle. Bike is surging and backfiring while cruising. Bike was running VERY rich in one cylinder and lean in the other at around 3,500 miles due to the mechanic swapping the fuel injector wires on AutoTune. This issue seemed minor, but is getting progressively worse.

My next step is going to be changing the plugs. If this fixes it all-together, I will leave it at that. If things still seem rough, I'm going to try and zero-out all the AutoTune trims and disconnect it. While I know this won't be good in the long-run, I want to see if AutoTune is dialing back or adding too much fuel. The fact that AT seems to be pulling a LOT of fuel at the areas I am having issues seems to be a possibility. Can you post your fuel curves?

This evening, I went through to make sure there weren't any burned or pinched wires. Checked the TPS voltage, did the "static" calibration on it, checked for leaks at the exhaust, intake, and IAC. Nothing seems wrong.... yet

EDIT: One thing I did notice... Occasionally I get a high idle speed when first firing her up. Not sure if this is due to AutoTune not kicking in for 60 seconds (per my setting) or if I am doing the TPS calibration wrong. It doesn't immediately go into a high idle; it takes a slow rev of the throttle to cause it. After a few hard blips of the throttle, it goes away.

PPS... I read somewhere that if we are running lower than 1,000 rpm at idle, it causes issues because the ECM uses the stock idle speed for adjustment? Mine idles at 900-950 usually

This makes me wonder if you don't have some sort of exhaust leak on your rear pipe. That would result in a lean measurement by the O2 sensors and overcompensation in the fuel mixture.

It doesn't sound like your idle is that different from mine. When I first start up it runs around 1,000 rpm then settles pretty quickly down to 900-950. It's easy enough to check though. Just zero out all your AFR, trim, and fuel map entries in the 0% TPS. That then reverts your idle back to the ECM settings.

Good idea, Dune.... That will be another step I will take to diagnose.

EDIT: If a intake/exhaust leak (or other issue is present), it might be the cause of the low idle. Even a stock tune won't help that.

Changed the plugs (gapped @ .36)
Zero'd out all the fuel fields that AutoTune had made
Did the "static" TPS calibration again.

Took the bike out for a short run. At first, it seemed to be bucking. AutoTune adjusted for it and it seems to be running "ok" now. There is still hesitation in the area that I mentioned.

I think the next step will be exhaust gaskets and a TPS reset.

PS... the RPM range for idle is what it should be for the 106 motor.

Just a thought, but would the cams have something to do with it? I'm wondering if you may have to adjust your timing a bit. The auto tune doesn't adjust that at all from what I can gather.

While it is a logical idea, doubt it is the cause. There are so many people running this cam, that I am certain I'd have a 5 page list of people telling me how to fix it if it were due to the cams.

Cam specs aren't toooooo far off from stock, so don't think they are the problem.
