Default Looking for Power Commander Map: Stage One and S&S intake on 2007 Vegas.

I've got a 2007 Vegas with the Stage One download plus exhaust and I'm going to be installing an S&S air intake. I'd really like to upload someone else's map on my Power Commander III instead of getting the S&S download. Free would be nice but I would be willing to pay for the right one. Where I live there is only one Dyno and its at Harley so I'm not sure if I can even do that if I wanted to. The next closest one is 7 hours away. I've already searched this site extensively, done many google searches and looked at the measly 3 maps available on powercommander.com. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Default Money maker.

If the only dyno closest to you is just at Harley you could go ahead and talk to them. You might make a few calls around first to see what a realistic price to do a dyno run would be so they do not charge you to much. The point being is that if they "Harley" are in business to make money with their dyno you think they would not care what type or make of bike they put on the dyno. It might also give the dyno guy some joy in running something different on their dyno. The draw back for Victory to this is their sales people may use your dyno run of your Victory if it is not a good run to their benefit to try and sell more Harleys vs. the poor performance of the Victory if that is the case of the runs made. Now if your Victory performs very well I am sure they would not use it,but then again it could convert a few of dealers personal to Victory,ha,ha.

I had mine done at the local Harley shop. If they have a guy that has taken the course from Dynojet, he can tune anything with a power commander.

In fact, I trust my bike more with a dealership that deals with the type of person who is very sensitive on who touches, sits on, or looks at their bike let alone works on it, than a back yard grease pit shop.

FYI, it cost me 4 hours of dyno time for mine to get done. ($125/hr) So if you don't find too many people handing out their maps, you now know why.

I went in and chatted with Harley, they'll do my bike which will take 4 hours or more and cost between $400-600. There is a one week wait list and since my intake isn't even installed yet I'll keep looking for a little while longer. But if I can't find anything to try out I'll just bite the bullet and get it done the right way. In the mean time if someone has the same setup as I do and would like to get a little money back on the dyno job that they had done I would like to try their map.
