Default Suspension pressure leak?

I wonder is it is normal. I added about 70lbs of pressure, with about 1 to 1 1/2 months, and it dropped to about 40-45 lbs. I ride everyday, and it is hot here in N. Fl. Anyone know if this is normal or not? thanks.

No not normal. Pump it up to 70psi and with seat off take some baby power or reel soapy water and sprinkle or spray around for leaks.
Maybe look on the bottom of the shock for a leak or if garage is quiet maybe you can hear a leak.

If it takes that long. You will not "see" a leak. Remember that rubber that flexible is porous, and the volume is not that great. This is why you are supposed to check "pre-ride". Not that me you or pretty much anybody actually performs a pre ride on their bikes

I'm not an asshole...I just type that way

I would say it's not preferable but likely within normal limits of losing air. I agree with what KevX said.

I had one go bad though. It wouldn't last a day with 2 up riding but did ok with 1 up riding. I guess the extra pressure on it was enough to cause it to leak. The tech and I looked at it after he replaced it under warranty and neither of us could see where it was leaking from.

Sometimes you can get lucky and it's just the Shrader valve. It's easy enough to check. Just switch it out with one from a tire for a bit and watch both for losing air.

Just checked pressure and after 1 day dropped 35-40 lbs. Not such a slow leak after all.I will take it in to correct. Thanks

Default update

Took it to dealer, they checked pressure and since it showed 60lbs thought it was normal. I said 2 days ago I put it on 70lbs. He said maybe there is a valve release that when you have it close to max, then hitting a bump might release some air. I said I would drive it and recheck but don't think that is it. For some reason filling it to 70 sat night and then sunday checking and it lost 40 lbs in one day. Refilled and checked valve with spit for bubbling and it lost 10lbs in 2 days. I will see.

I ride single with mine at 40 (I am 260 lbs) mine will drop to 30 after about three weeks or so. I ride at 70 when two up per saddlebag sticker. but as soon as single again I deflate it back to 40 so don't know how long it would take to leak from 70. The thing I hate more than anything is constantly removing side cover to change settings as wife rides with me pretty much every weekend and I am single during the week. 70 is way to firm for solo riding. I have thought about trying to figure out a way to extend the shrader valve with maybe a flex valvestem like on trucks or my motorhome to a plce I can get to it without removing the side cover, but we'll see.
