Default Rear tire change

I have a 2012 XCT and can't seem to find a thread on pulling the rear wheel. I would also like to know if changing the brake pads is any different than on non-ABS bikes. Not due for a tire yet, but want to be ready when the time comes.

You best buy a manual and hope you have a bike jack.
Loosen the axle with a 1" 1/16th socket jack the bike up pull the axle and drop the tire.
Break pads should be like normal.

I've always purchased manuals for all my bikes, just haven't gotten around to it with this one. A little busy with work right now and less than a month before I leave for Nova Scotia. Starting to feel like crunch time. I do have a bike jack. I think I saw somewhere that you can remove the bottom shock mount bolt to drop the swing arm so the mufflers don't have to be pulled. I'm hoping that is true. Strange to be traveling on a bike I know so little about. Made it to New Mexico and back last month!
