Never mind. Pulling the shock to replace fuel pump and filter. Got angry, stepped away, came back and it was clear as day. With bike on bike lift, put a standard Jack under rear wheel and bring it up to the tire. Remove battery. Remove battery tray. Now remove the two bolts at the upper right of the side plate the battery tray was on. Remove bolt that holds the foot rest to the side plate. Remove side plate and you're in! 10 minutes to dig in that far. Here's some pics.

A smart man knows when to step back and take a breather. Then come back later without a huge sledge hammer in his hands.

Good job mate. I bet if everyone here gave up a buck for every time that has happened to all of us; we could put on a helluva party on the beach some where.

I agree with BBOB, I will go take a frustration dump. The grunting gets the mind flowing and both ends seem to clear out. then you go " Hey dummy why don't you try this?" It helps to step back before you make a expensive BOO BOO.
