Talking well i got my 1999 v92sc back

well i got my bike back from repair shop 600 bucks wow replaced drive belt and now they are saying that my shutting off problem was a crank case censor right behind the drive gear said depends on which guy i talked to but one said it was full of metal shavings the other said it was just all gummed up and filthy but they took it apart and cleaned it. I road it home for 40 miles from a cold start hit 80mph and it didnt sputter or shut down hears hoping oh and my battery was dead 1 and a half years old why do they have such a short life span i no guys that have had the same battery for 5 to 6 years

Glad to hear and here's hoping that's what it was! As for the battery, there can be a few reasons behind it. If it's a closed cell battery, it may have just been old when purchased since they begin to slowly degrade from the start. Otherwise, could just be a bad battery..it happens. Long shot here too could be with the issues you've had, it could have just advanced the wear on the battery. Check the cells (any where that sells them can do it for you) and if they're bad, put in a new one and see what happens. Enjoy your miles!
