Default Painting over (Vic)clear coat?

Can undamaged, new clear-coat be painted over or does it have to be "prepped" somehow?

I would think scuff and go just like any other clear. Vic's clear is solvent based. I'm NOT a painter though.

wet sand with 180 or 2000 grit with "wet sandpaper" is not the same as normal sandpaper. Now put down a coating of primer then paint.
Look on youtube how to

i hope you meant 1800 grit , not 180. 1000 grit would be ok,
just make sure its thoroughly deglossed . even a grey 3M
scuff pad would work. 2 coats of clear should be plenty.
i use ppg products at my place.

and of course, a ric z laydown license bracket.[5
