Default 2009 Kingpin Tail Light, brake light and plate light

Just got my 2009 Kingpin and didn't even realize before I brought it for inspection that there was no plate holder. Installed that last night, but the wiring is a mystery to me. There are three wires coming into the rear fender (white w black, red and violet). The tail light also has 3 wires, and of course the new plate holder has 2. Anyone have a wiring diagram or advice on how to wire this properly? I'd love to do this myself and avoid bringing it in for service. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Default Thank you!!!!

Thanks so much! I will be lying on my garage floor tonight (avoids taking off the fender by going in underneath), getting this done!

Kingpin2009

never trust wiring and the colors. Always have a voltmeter or testlight to check the wires. You can buy the meter and test light at a lot of stores walmart auto store and will save you money in the long run
