Seen this question months ago, don't remember all the ins and outs of the thread but the bottom line was go with the OEM in the end.
Not doubting your tech ability, another rider just had a light issue, the bulb looked good (filiment in tact) and finally at wits end electrically, he changed the bulb for grins and the dern thing worked.. Just making sure you read it out with a multi meter.. Again, please don't take it as doubting your wrench turning skills..
