Default 2014 XC Cruise Control

Same problem as has been reported; stops working when wet. I've seen lots of posts regarding this with bikes from 2011 and up. I have an appointment at my dealer for tomorrow as my bike is less than one year old. My question is this; does Polaris have a fix or are they just going to put dielectric grease on it? Will they charge me?
On another note, I'm having the throttle roll-off cut off problem too in that the cruise will disengage if I hit the brake but the throttle roll-off cutoff does not work. I have never monkied with the throttle adjustment or added anything that would effect it. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Does anyone know if Polaris has a fix for this? Will the dealer claim "normal operation"?

No official fix that I've ever seen reported on these forums. I had the same problem once and I just "fixed" it with dialectic grease and electrical tape myself. The connection under the tank is easy enough to get to without taking anything apart

I had the problem just recently where the throttle roll-off would not turn off the cruise. I found that the idle cable (throttle closing cable) was too loose. I had to adjust this way out using the adjustment below the switchbox housing.

Thanks Archer and Vinish. I took it to the dealer and they adjusted the throttle no charge which was cool but the cruise control problem, I got the "not able to duplicate problem". Uhhh, did you ride in a down pour?? NO.
Anyway, they opened an "ask Polaris" ticket so we'll see. I'll update when I hear back.

All I can add is run the diagnostics listed in the above mentioned post and it should point you in the right direction. Those that are having the "problem" of not turning off when rolling off the throttle, the wires under the tank handle that and are actuated by the cables to throttle body. Mine is disconnected because there is absolutely no way to keep it dry in the rain. Another problem location for me was the sensor on the brake line located up and in from the right side floor board. Follow the brake line from the rear master cylinder. This one I gave a heavy dose of dielectric grease and so far no more problems for the last 12k miles. If you haven't already, get the shop manual off of Bbobs signature. Super helpful in every way and will also give good troubleshooting tips on where or how to locate the culprit either through wiring diagrams or photos. I wish I could be more help, good luck

So I finally called the dealership to find out what the deal was and Polaris came back with, "normal operation, solution is to dry out with a hair dryer". I can't make this stuff up.They're supposed to have a technician look into it for a fix, we'll see.

Last winter I took bike completly apart and blew out all open connections and filled with diaelectric grease. Unplugged every connector and did same, opened both cruise and radio pods, blew out and resealed with silicone. Opened both handle bar controls an geased everything, cut a small rubber strip and put over signal switch, didn't like the big open hole from factory. So far this year, no cut outs, no issues I hope I got it licked!

Got a call back this morning from Bob in technical support and was very pleased. He described the problem as being the throttle rollback switch located on the right side of the bike where the frame and tank meet towards the front of the tank. The fix is to glob some silicone sealant on the back of the connector to prevent it from forming a funnel into the circuit. He also advised that I could take it to the dealer and have them do it although I have one day left on my 12 month Warranty.
Overall, I was very pleased as they were very helpful and wanted to get the problem fixed for me.
