Default Windshield install

Just picked up a tall windscreen for a 2011 XC. Looks like the fairing has to come off to access the mounting hardware. Only one screw on windshield riser. Am I right? How do I do this?

No way does the fairing have to come off ...... If you got a shield off an XCT you may need an additional bracket to make it work .... There should be 4 mounting holes/screws on the XC .
