Does the 106" stroker kit use the same length rod as a 100" motor?

Nope.

The original S&S stroker used the stock pistons. In order to go longer on stroke with stock pistons they used shorter rods.

Lloyd has pistons that allow the use of the 100" rods in a 108mm stroke, but I believe they are 14:1 compression.
