Fram is a Rank Group product. Affinia owns Wix. These are competing multinats and don't share manufacturing, onshore or offshore.

Fram is junk. Wix is not (so far).

Default Filtron.....?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but does anyone know about Filtron ? or the difference between Wix and Filtron Wix?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wix-Filtr...MAAOSwFCFc6jJK

Just wondering if the filtron is better, same, or completely different?

Thanks!

Dave

Thanks.... i have a source for Wix filters already but wouldn't mind knowing what the filtron type is. I can find a website for them https://filtron.eu/en

but have no idea if its a part of Wix or not.

They list the part number as Wix 51356 which is the exact same number as the regular Wix filter so I'm going to go out on a limb and say they are the same thing. They added the word "Filtron" to make it sound fancier or better but it's the same thing.

having looked at the filtron website i think there are a different company manufacturing the Wix 51356 alternative. I have therefore purchased the original Wix to be on the safe side. Cheers All
