We spend about half the year (Oct through April) in Florida where my wife and I each have one of the 2012 XCT bikes. Her bike has about 10,000 miles. My bike has about 18,000. We spend the summers in Michigan where my wife has a XCT with 11125 miles and I have a 2006 Harley Softail with 35K miles. We got the XCT in Michigan for my wife at the end of last year to replace her 2006 Honda VTX 1300S that we just sold a month ago.

We've tried a lot of bikes out and have owned 3 Hondas of steadily increasing size as we learned to ride, 1 HD, and 3 XCT.

We really like the XCT better than any other touring bike out there and my wife really feels comfortable on hers.

G'day,

Vinish

Our patriotic stable:

Red 2012 XCT (wife's bike in NC)
Red 2012 XCT (my bike for NC)
White with custom flames 2012 XCT (wife's bike in FL)
Blue custom fire on a black 2012 XCT (my bike in FL)

2006 HD Softail Heritage (my bike when I was in MI - sold in Oct, 2017 after putting 45,000 miles and 20 states and one province on it - My first big bike and most of us will always remember our first with fond memories)

Not in my case as I did the cable maintenance every 1,500 miles or less rather than the 2,500 mile interval. Didn't want to be stranded in the middle of bumfu!k. That's also how I discovered the cable was fraying at the clutch end...via "hyper" service maintenance of the clutch and cable.

Given how many persistent problems you've had with your XC, I think the "Lemon Law" might be your best friend at this point. That is, of course, if MOM's doesn't come through for you...

Ahh Ok, I get it. We did the multiple house thing for a while too. In the beginning it was great or so we thought but in time we found it wasn't for us.

All the best

Starters and rear shocks I have seen a few, most got lucky and warranty handled it.

So far the top runners are

1. Clutch cable
2. Starter
3. starter Clutch

Are you selling much of these for 2010s? I seem to see more problems posted here the newer the Victory.

2010 Midnight Cherry XR. 7Jurock, Lloydz AF, ATS, AFR tuned VFCIII, IAV, and T-6 and locally repacked pipes = big smiles. SOLD to a dear friend, so it's still in the family."
2017 Spyder F3 Limited - keeps this old guy in the wind and riding with friends.
