Fuck the car!
Anyway it's painted, the paints drying

It's a thankless task 1200 wet sanding prior to machine buffing.... Well it's worthwhile afterwards when it's been buffed to a shine. Then rebuffed with swirl remover. Then washed then chamoised. Then carnauba waxed, then all the handles and trim put back on.
Lots to do yet......no fuck da car, it can wait
MOPAR SUNDAY not till next month. Oh shit!
Well 3 weeks away.
She will be together and Race ready by then....

I rang Steve at Powerhouse Dyno, he's booked out today doing a couple of B King drag bikes for tonight's Street Series at Willowbank..... I'd got my days mixed up!
Race Ya Mates ain't till Friday night,
Steve's gonna give the Vegas a tickle up next week sometime.
Till then I'm gonna reload @kevinx Fat Tune to be on the safe rich side.
Baffles are now red located in.....Kevinx confirmed they run better in, I rang him around midnight my time and had a quick chat about it.
He IS the Man! Been so much help over the phone anslf email.
The man is passionate about things mechanical in particular Victories,
I can't speak too highly of the man!

So soon as I get off here I'll load the Fat Tune.
Ill leave it on the bike till dyno time this time around.
Last time I reloaded Steve's original tune so it would be closer for him.
But first thing he said was " let's see what Kevinx fat tune looks like on the dyno"?
But it wasn't in the bike it was at home on my laptop!

This time I'll leave it in and Steve will possibly benefit from the experience too.
He tunes all manner of makes and models of bikes, he's not a die hard Harley tuner by any means.
He's a good guy and looks after me, and his workmate Blair races a turbo Suzuki in Comp Bike too.
Anyway enough chat there's my homeliness to load.
Gotta love PCV s, can't understand why guys spend big on the best bike and cheap out on proper tuning....
Anyway I'm gone

Default Mopar Sunday

Coupla shots from the internet of the big Mopar meet coming up,
All goes to plan I'll run my resurrected 1965 Chrysler Valiant 225 Slant 6 auto on the track against my backrests 1974 Chrysler by Chrysler 265 Hemi 6 auto
I resurrected her car too of course and recently fitted a good engine into it.
She ran 19 seconds with the old tired 245 Hemi 6 last year and won the first round but then it rained
The 65 AP6 I'll have finished by then is a lot lighter car than her "loungechair on wheels" as she affectionately calls her Luxomopar.
It'll be on!
We raced before at an all makes event coupla years back, she was driving our 1967 VC Valiant 225 Slant 6 auto against my 71 Ford 351C four speed, it was close too, she ran 17 in the Val behind my 14.5 in the Ford
What's a story without pix!

Couldn't find the pix in this phone but did find pix of my many Rat Bike Trophies for my old XS650s also my Best Jap for my old K2 750/4!!!

Vegas much stronger now with the RPW's and the @kevinx Fat Tune.. Grunt Factory!
Sounds great too the Snarkles gone replaced by a Snarl,
It feels fuelled up at low speeds, once a bit is taken out of it here and there it'll be sharp as an axe!

Why????.....so at the drags I can hold it flat and just hit a button to slam it into the next gear.
No clutch, the button kills ignition for a millisecond while compressed air rams the shifter up a gear.
Takes nearly a second off the ET

Still shifts normally the rest of the time, can also be done with an electric solenoid instead of air.

Shifting gears is fun, but when every second counts you need to be as fast as possible. I assume that's possible with an electric or air shifter. I have no experience, however.
