Default Headlight adjusting

I did a 1" lower link on my 2016 CCT last year and realized this year while being on a late nite trip that my hibeam headlite is pointing way too high obviously because rear end went down. I tried adjusting the two top screws a half turn to the left as the manual says but it didn't seem to help much. Now I got wind that the manual is incorrect, so question is is the manual correct and how many turns that you guys did a lowering link did you have to give it?

unscrew it till its where you need it. When you think you have it sit on your bike to make sure it stays below the line. You might have to put some washers behind the mounting ring at the top that bolts to the fairing
