Default Stage 1?

I thought inwould ask this question in open forum. How would I know if a stage 1 was done to my bike? And what does that consist of? This started when my Harley buddy was making fun of my "baby motor". I have the 2004 v92 and he has the Harley 103. That got me wondering what the differences really were. I noticed the Harley is advertised 83hp and 95ft lbs. And I saw a dyno sheet for a v92 with a stage 1 setup showing 97hp and 103 torque. I couldn't find stock HP and torque for my v92.

Stage one would be exhaust, air filter (K&N) and a down load by the dealer I believe, exhaust choices would be slip on or the swept drag pipes, I know my 06 Vegas has the swept drag pipes and victory offered 3 different exhaust set ups I believe, I owned 5 Harley’s I can 100% say you will beat him lol

Well I know it has the K&N filter with vented cover and the performance exhaust. So I'm assuming it has the stage 1. Just wondered if there was a way to know. And does that dyno graph look right? That seems like a lot of HP and torque for just a stage 1.

guessing the dyno is a 106 motor. The dealer flash for $150 bucks is a joke. You'd be farther a head getting a fuel tuner. Am guessing stock was 65 horse

The dyno was from loyds website for my V92 motor. It seemed high. And I'm not really looking to increase my horsepower just wondering what I have now. Hence wondering how to tell if the stage 1 had been already done

Why not just race him? Go to the strip with him, both take a run or two down the track and compare time slips. You might find you really enjoy it and it could doing that could save you a lot of time and expense. If you win there is no need to upgrade if your already there. If not you gave it a good shot. With what you learn there you can decide what your next step should be. I wouldn't make any bets or boasts nor would I beat my bike up excessively on the track. No need to. I'd just go have some good fun and see how it turns out.

Seeing who has the fastest time only tells half the story, the other half is how good the rider is at racing a motorcycle. Who cares what your harley buddy says, go out and enjoy your bike.

Trust me it has nothing to do with racing. We mess with each other all the time. Just good fun. But it just got me curious about what my bike actually puts out in terms of HP and torque. That's all. I love my bike and have no need to upgrade (for now) just wanted to know if there was a way to tell what had been done but seems like there isn't
