Default Rear brake issue...ABS?

I thought I would post an update on the brake issue and maybe this will help someone else out.

Installed new bearings on the rear wheel trying to fix hum/howl issue. (no, it did not solve that).

New problem, took bike out for test. ABS light stays on.
Bring bike in garage. Adjusted ABS sensor by removing 1 spacer to bring air gap into spec. Gap was 1.6mm. Now it is 1.1mm.
Take bike out for test, ABS light goes out. Cool!

New problem, rear pedal has extra resistance when initially pressing (feels like something is preventing me from pushing the pedal down far enough), then resistance goes away and brakes operate okay. Push rear brake again, same thing. However this doesn't seam to happen at lower speeds but happens everytime I push the pedal at normal-high speeds.
After a few miles the ABS light comes back on, which I assume disables that ABS system, because the resistance in the brake pedal is gone and brakes seam to function as normal.

So apparently there is still something going on in the ABS that is causing the funny sensation in the rear brake pedal.
I think I'm going to take it to a dealer. I'm one hour away, but I'm getting a bit tired of all this.

Confirm Pads are set or seated in correctly right possibly causing friction. Also the clip that spring loads pads may have moved.

ABS could be sensor wire not run correctly, wire pinched or simply going out. See it all the time.

What did KevinX have to do to correct your ABS issue?

All the best,

Mark

I'll put my money on it being a bad sensor.
