Default Pipe dreams....

Pulled the 'supposed' Stage One mufflers on the XC that I recently bought, guy told me it had Stage One mufflers anyway.
Last night while on an overnight cam swap mission I took one off and had a look through it... I can see daylight!
First pic is going into the muffler and
Second is looking back up the pipe from the exit end.
I cant see any point in gutting these out.
Third pic ,maybe I need to fit a larger exit pipe or drill a lot of holes in that end cap?
Thoughts and ideas?
anyone else had a set of Stage Ones off?

Tri-ovals are the same way, for the most part.
The thread Vindex creates about making his own mufflers would be a great read and great instruction on modifying Vic mufflers.

Yeah mate already had a good look through Vins thread and PM'd him on a couple of things, but hey if these mufflers are as open as they look then they should flow ok, only restriction I see apart from the cats are those skinny exit pipes.
What goes in must come back out.
Cats are staying for torque.
