changed my oil yesterday to Penrite Full Syn
PAO ESTER, V-TWIN oil.
while draining I did the usual clutch cable ends service, all went well then was wiping the ike over with detail spray and saw this!!!!!
Now I thought our lights were plastic ....
Just as well I bought a complete unit off gumtree a coupla years back...all fixed now.
Really dunno how it happened

With all the horror story's of using Full Syn are you sure the oil didn't do it??? :devil

Only problem Ive ever had with Full Syn was upshifting gears at 5900rpm on the dragstrip.
Occasional missed shifts and engine then hitting the limiter.
Otherwise its sweet.
People run into problems when they use automotive oil not JASO-MA wet clutch rated.

Years ago an aircraft windshield company who made plexiglass products made windshields and headlight protectors for Victory but has long since quit doing it. They look like this with 4 small pieces of velcro holding them on.

Not the best picture but all I have right now; but you can barely see the cover on there. The velcro is so you can take it off occasionally to clean the headlight.

I still have these plastic covers for the headlight, the dirt goes behind them

You can buy Vic LED lights on AliExpress, they work good, 1 year guarantee etc ...

Andre using TaPaTaLk

yeah just had a look but theyre all ugly LED
that some people love and I hate.
Im happy with the VICTORY HID that I have in both bikes.
I just want to protect them from getting broken again.

Cool, I was quite probably at that Aratula, remember the sand drags as part of 3 days of drunken partying and live bands.
Those were the days, got lumbered and breathalysed trying to leave one year and wound up in Ipswich lockup the Boonah courthouse.
Got in the boxing ring on a Sunday morning there one year when Irish was tryna get someone to fight "the Animal"
"Surely someone out there will get knocked out for fifty bucks" he said!
I said " yeah Ill get knocked out for fifty!"
Put my Stones Green Ginger wine bottle down and put on the gloves.....didnt even see the punch, hit the canvas and stayed there.
Got a stubby of Fourex for my brave effort!
Still joke about it today.
Was a couple of different events out there every year back then.
reminiscing......
Yeah I know that HPR 15 just put it in the 455 Buick as well as my ex's 265 Chrysler, good oil for the price.
Ive just put the Vegas on their 20-60 Full Syn MC oil, and the XC on their V-Twin oil, its a bit dearer but I get a good trade price deal off the local Repco shop just up the road.
using Z429 Ryco filters too.

Nice story! If it was Irish trying to get you knocked out for a stubby, you were probably a little bit up the road at Purga Creek. Wrong mob, best not get them confused, even now. But yeah, great memories for sure.
My trophy year at Aratula I climbed up on stage, accepted the trophy, held it up to a crowd of mostly very committed big twin owners and shouted "Sportsters rule!"
Dead silence followed. I then laughed; I had beaten 6 of them to get there, one of them twice; first on his panhead, then again when he came back on his identically painted softtail. I had a dead heat with a big inch shovelhead, no one could pick it. We ran again, and he beat me by by a metre. He took Top Bike, I took Top Street bike.
My mates reckon I was still cuddling the trophy when they found me in the morning.
