Default Hurricane Peg Extension Party

I just got my new 2" peg extensions from Will at CycleOps. He had them powder coated orange and they look great ...Thanks Will!!!

So while the hurricane is rolling in I decided to install them.

These are the 10mm clamp bolts that need to be loosened to give a little slack in the brake lines.

Here is the brake side installed. The brake lines just barely make it.

This is a shot of the difference. It doesn't look like a lot but it's night and day. The previous owner was vertically challenged and actually had the pegs moved back a few inches. So the net gain was close to 4 inches.

This is the shifter side extension installed and the difference between the factory and extended linkage.

Here it is totally installed.

Overall I'm very happy with the results. The color is a great match, quality of the kit is top notch, everything lined up and bolted on easily. The whole job only took about 30-45 minutes. I hope this helps anyone considering doing extensions.

Man, they got there quick! Thanks for the shout out bro, and glad to hear you're happy with everything including ther color match. Black ones there would have been WAY out of place instead of now being barely even noticeable. Enjoy and thanks again for the support!

I finally got to ride today. Man....What a difference . I probably could have gone with the 4" extensions but these are great for now. If anyone is thinking about it, don't hesitate. It's a lot more comfortable.

Crabs I would like to inquire how tall you are? I am 6 foot tall and was contenplating getting the extension for my stock setup. I have become acustomed to draping my feet over the pegs after take offs and the stock setup puts the pegs at the ball of my foot looking like a lazy limp footed rider. any thoughts?

I'm 6'3" and have a 34" inseam. I wouldn't hesitate. The extensions are easy to install and relatively inexpensive. So, if you installed them and didn't like it for some reason, they would be easy to remove and sell. Best bang for your buck IMHO.

Nice work!

Make sure the brake line isnt too close to the front header now, so as you dont boil the fluid and either lose brakes, or lock them up...
