Default stock 2012 Highball wont shift passed 3rd gear....anyone ???

Went out for a ride this saturday with a good sized crew. One of our riders had a stock 2012 Highball still under warranty and hardly any miles on it. On our way home getting on the freeway he couldn't get passed 3rd. nothing there. Said he took a pretty good hit on a bump....wondering if it could have disabled or broke teeth on upper gears...Everyone that rode it said it just felt like there was nothing there passed 3rd. Are the top 3 linked ? All linkage was fine and I'm sure the interior shifter ratchet assy was fine cause it went through the bottom three just fine.
Have never read anything like this and was hoping i could give him some help.

if he still has coverage take it to dealer. Could be bad clutch maybe he miss shifter and broke a shifting for you never know till you pull the clutch

VJ I respect a lot of things that you say but..
"maybe he miss shifter" and "broke a shifting" ??????

You make us sound like a dumb lot.
Those words will never help someone troubleshoot problems with their bike.

That's what I interpreted. But I doubt the shifter fork is busted because it goes through the first 3 just fine yes ?
