Default Seeking Technical advice & experience with "self" installing

Hi All,

I like to order the following Items for Victory Jackpot 2013 Orange Madness as per below.

Seeking Technical advice & experience with installing

I like to prepare for the things I must buy, so I was thinking the following for my Victory Jackpot 2013 Orange Madness, please note ALL items will have to be installed by myself, settings, electrics, everything, so if there would be a problem, I could only get help by Email, I cannot go to the Garage as I live in Indonesia on a Island called Batam, and the Performance Exhaust will be supplied by the Victory dealer in a few months......so that is why it is not on the list below.....

1. Lloydz Adjustable Timing System & Gasket
2. K&N High Performance, reusable, air filters that allow more air into the engine. 2000-2007 Victory (all models) so does this mean it fits in 2013 jackpot stock Airbox Yes or No?? I like the stock Airbox as there is a lot of "dust" here.
3. Lloyd'z Idle Air Valve (do I need this?? yes or no)
4. Lloydz Exhaust Gasket Set (just to be sure)
5. Conquest Underdrive Pulley for 2005 & UP 100/106ci (is this for 2013 Jackpot also? it does not say on the website) if installed I do not need a shorter belt I presume?
6. Conquest customs MSD IGNITION COILS
7. Conquest customs MSD Spark Plugs ?? I did not find them on the websites?
8. also i need a "jack" that is not so big and good quality? any suggestions??
9. Fuel Controller, see below.

Now my question is regarding the fuel controllers, I would imagine I will need one, but it is a bit confusing witch one of the 3 is correct and easy enough to install myself, GEN-3 i have seen on the internet and it is easy to install, so is a GEN-5 better;

PS note that I can burn fuel as much as I like, so "rich or lean" settings will not be a problem, I just like to set everything "nice and comfortable" on the bike.

A. Lloyd'z Victory Fuel Controller, gen 3 (VFC-III) = 2008 up so include 2013???
B. Lloyd'z Power Commander 5 = for all models including 2013??
C. Lloyd'z Power Commander 3 (USB) = not for 2013 ???

Do you guys think this is a good setup, or do you think I can install all items myself??

Thanks for the feedback & Kind regards,

BP6666VR

The Pulley will not work on the wide-tire bikes.
As far as the ignition parts, save your money, they are just for looks.
If you go with a Power Commander, you need the 5. The 3 is for 2007 and down.

If all you are doing is pipes/washable air filter/timing wheel... get the VFC III and IAV then call it a day. Installation is very simple.

Sounds like you got some mod work ahead of you. Lol. How wrench handy are you is the install question? The pulley is a pain in the ass and if it were me and you absolutely wanted it, I would do it when you replace that rear tire. Would also give you a chance to ride the other mods first. So here's my 2cents:
1. Easy, plenty of how to here. Install at 4degree for starts and a must.
2. Your way off track doing all this work and keeping the stock air box. Dust no dust, your going to be better off providing more filter and air flow. Look at the torque tubes on lloydz site or the s&s tubes. Your robbing power from the motor needlessly if you just stuff a stock kn replacement. Remember the design of the air box is to meet EPA sound and duke requirements, not performance.
3. IMHO yes, I still haven't installed mine and it will cure that idle down pop. Just haven't bought mine but yes.
4. Yes, if. Your swapping pipes. Peace of. Mind
5. I'm not sure on your bike but would suggest waiting until your complete on the engine to see what you got. I was able to adjust when I went to a 32tooth, no new belt.
6. & 7. I think your throwing money away Spend it on the torque tubes.
8. Not sure of the question a jack not so big. Storage is a problem in my garage so if it goes up, I use the 3 ton floor jack and I built a block to slide under the engine where the frame will rest on the blocks. Works for both my vision and TC. Just a thought.
9. PCV is the one that will suit your mods unless your shop has a Dyno you may want to think auto tune. 2nd option is call lloydz, give them you mod list and ask them to pre program it with a comparable map. But VFCIII will be cheaper and do it yourself!

Good lookin ride, you will be amazed at your improvement with the mods.

Thanks guys,
So now we are getting somewhere, yes I am quit ok with tools, got a garage, and I will sell my LandCruizer so the garage will be ONLY for VICTORY

So because of all you guys information the following amended list is;

1. Lloydz Adjustable Timing System & Gasket, no problem.
2. Torque Tubes OR s&s tubes it will be, I see no problem with installing this, hope it will look nice too and, noting "missing" in the packet, I think BLUE will look cool on my bike?
PS - $595.00 Torque Tube Intake for 08-up Models (w/ Idle Air Valve Assembly)
PSS - 99-07 Victorys, except Vision or CrossRoad/Country 106-5130 $278.95
I will have to look on the internet what looks better, surly performance should be almost the same, looks is 50% of choice.
3. Lloyd'z Idle Air Valve, what do you mean with "IMHO" ? yeah better buy and install as I read many people do this....
4. Lloydz Exhaust Gasket, I have no idea what pipes they will give me, so yes better buy good quality ones for "stock" & "safety"
5. Conquest Underdrive Pulley (ok maybe it does not fit on 2013 Jackpot "half-crazy" so I will wait to change my tire and see if i can fit a 280mm and a smaller pulley if available next year maybe.... as we have no highways (here) I could go for the lower ratio in future
8. JACKS maybe you guys can send some pictures, as the only option I see in this corner of the world, is making the "spindle-jack" this will be a lot of work, so if you guys can attach some pictures of what you are using, please???

9. Fuel Controller = this is golden info from you guys, so Power Commander No.5 is too complicated as no adjustments can be made... (for me as i can not go to bikeshops or DYNO, hahah what a dream that would be) .. so the "smartest option" would be the NEXT BEST IN LINE, VFC III (i will email them also)
Lloydz webpage = 2008-up Victory (all models) w/Closed Loop Systems
https://www.lloydz.com/stor/item_vie...itemid=1000003

NOW NUMBER 10. what spark plugs are the best and where do I find them? as you guys say I do not need the wire / coil upgrade, so I need spark-plugs for "stock" as changing them as per maintenance schedule, I WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO FIND GOOD QUALITY HERE IN ASIA.....

Tims_04V92TC best help; Your robbing power from the motor needlessly if you just stuff a stock kn replacement. Remember the design of the air box is to meet EPA sound and duke requirements, not performance.

half_crazy best help; The Pulley will not work on the wide-tire bikes.

BEST COMMENT navycraig = I can't answer your questions, but that's a nice looking bike.

Wow, who da thought there would be Victorys in Indonesia.

My friend, the best advise was given by Half/Crazy. Keep it simple with his mods. You don't exactly have easy access to a tuner if things go bad. The hammer is badass all by its self with a little exhaust, air and fuel mod you will be the Man in Indonesia.

what do your friends ride? How many other Victorys are around you?

2011 Cross Country. D&D's wrapped - VM1DR cams - PC5 - LLoyds high performance filter and ATS (Adjustable Timing system). Power output 115HP/115FTLBS tuned by KMC. Klock Werks flip shield - RF/PBR300x4 amp - Hertz HCX 6.5's - Victory 6X9 Magnum Lids - Victory XM - HMD Black Pull Backs with Victory performance grips. PIAA Led3 driving lights. accessories from Arlen ness - Witch Doctors - Noemtz Designs - Kuryakyn. Blacked out treatment powder Coat by PPC Stuart fl.

Bikes are very popular in Indonesia, see approximate status below as far as I know, Victory shops and companies are still in early stage

Batam Island = 3 sold = 4 new in the shop now (i was the first customer) and my neighbor the second, 2013 Vision (first victory is from the shop-owner)
Bali island = 10 Victory (it is a victory rental shop also, how cool is that)
Jakarta = about 20 I think??

In December it was my birthday and when the party was going “strong” my wife had a 2013 Victory Jackpot delivered to the party without me knowing anything about it…. Perfect party booster I would recommend any wife to do the same for their husband, beautiful orange, only 1 in Indonesia delivered...

YES good advice also KEEPING IT SIMPLE that is why I only concentrate on FUEL & AIR INTAKE after you guys are giving perfect information.

1. Lloydz Adjustable Timing System & Gasket.
2. Torque Tubes OR s&s tubes.
3. Lloyd'z Idle Air Valve, what do you mean with "IMHO" ? ....
4. Lloydz Exhaust Gasket,
5. Fuel Controller = this is golden info from you guys, so Power Commander No.5 is too complicated as no adjustments can be made..... so the "smartest option" would be the NEXT BEST IN LINE, VFC III (i will email them also)

6. spark plugs
7. Stebel Horn or something frigging loud a "ships-horn" would do me just fine here

you should get Lloydz 1/4 throttle ring. So you don't have to twist as much to go fast.

Here are some Lloydz installs there not for your bike but you'll get a good idea of what to do.
You say its real dusty over there I would keep stock air cleaner there cheap and really cut down on dirt getting into the motor

The throttle ring I am not so keen about, as maybe difficult to drive trough a traffic jam and controlling the gas? Until now all the bikes i had I did not feel the need to have "shorter gas"

Yes, it does not happen that often that a wife gives you a present like that, especially because Victory bikes are pretty expensive here
