Default trimming baffles?

i have RPW baffles in my ness pipes now. it sounded good with no baffles, just too damn loud. now it's not much quieter and doesnt sound good at all to my ears. im wondering if i'd get a happy medium if i trimmed about an inch off the tip of the "cones." yea?

sure you could trim it.
What I would do is get a Buddy go out in the country and stand on the side of the road and have him make a few pass by you.
You might be surprised what your bike sounds like. You being on it ridding with the wind in your ears you really never hear a true sound.
