Default Tyre Help

I am going to put a 180 tyre on the back of my Highball soon. I have been told that the Avon Cobra is the best one to go for. I have a couple of questions though before I order one.

http://avon-tyres.co.uk/news/avon-co...whitewall-tyre

The all-new radial whitewall Cobra tyre is available in the following sizes:

Front 150/80R16 WW Rear 180/70R16 WW

Is it ok to run an Avon Cobra on the back and a stock Dunlop on the front? I have heard somewhere that you shouldn't run different brands as they are designed to work together.

If that is the case, my next problem is that the Avon Cobra only has a 150 available. Would that fit on my Highball with my stock front fender? I don't really want to have to buy two new tyres either.

Thanks!

All I ever heard is you can't run a radial tire on the "FRONT" of your bike.
But you can run raidal on the rear.
You can mix tire brands many of us do

Is there a reason you can't run a radial on the front? The new thunderbird is running these Avons front and back. Both are radial.

Over the years I have heard not to mix radial and bias ply tyres, especially with the bias ply on the rear. I dunno why, but that is what I have always heard.

$20,000 and 3000 miles DO NOT make you a biker
