Angry 2nd pair of Avon heated grips not working!?!?

Last time, I wired everything up and ran the wires through the handlebars, but then...decided to test them.

Well..the lighted mirrors worked, but the Avon grips? Nope.

The switch never turned on any lights.

SO I returned them and got another pair figuring I had a bad set.

Well...this time, I decided to wire them BEFORE I install them. Good thing! These don't work either!

WTH?

Pretty basic wiring what I did.

Red from grips to to white on controller
Black from grips go to yellow on controller

White on controller goes to Positive batt.
black on controller goes to Negative batt.
Yellow on controller goes to grips.

Anyone else have this issue w/these grips? This is ridiculous.

Did you try connecting power directly to each grip to see if it heats up?

When I buy something that does not work out of the box and the replacement also does not work, I move on to something else and get my refund on the trash product.

The grips work (get hot) when I hook them up directly.

I like the grips, and I may just find an on/off switch to use the grips with. If I can't find one I like, onto some diff grips.

Did you test the switch with a meter or test light?

The switch looks like a heat demon one get a hold off them

I have the Heat-Demon internals and I gotta say, their instructions are the worst I have ever encountered. Before starting, I read them many times, trying to decipher what they were saying. Then I drew my own schematic and wrote my own step by steps. All went well from there.
It could be, the wiring diagram is nutso, or the controller is bad. Like VJ sez, test the controller.
