Default idle problem

I have 2 09 vics,a ness vision and a jackpot. The first one to do it was the jackpot. It has the S&S intake and download, and the vic 2 into 1 pipe. Sometimes the idle won't idle down. It runs about 1500 rpm. The best way I have found to get it to come back down is to run it hard for a couple gears. Then it acts fine. It doesn't do it all the time. I run 92 oct fuel all the time. This bike has about 2000 miles on it.
My vision has about 7000 miles and it has just started doing the same thing. This bike has been tuned by Lloyde with his cams and controller, intake plate, air filter and a RPW pipe. The same remedy works for this bike also. Take it out and run it hard and it straightens right up.
Anyone else having these problems? Is it just the 09s?

Would you call that an American Idle?

Cracks, de-laminating top plate, and splitting at clamps. A quick squirt of brake clean shot at the area with the engine running will produce a significant change to idle characteristics
