Default I have this ides.......

I posted this in the wrong forum, so maybe I would get a better response if I did it right

I removed the cheese wedges from my Hammer, and trimmed the brackets so they don't show anymore - but they still support the coil on the left side and the IAC on the right. I love the clean look of the engine on the left side, but I'm not as happy with the IAC on the other (I'll post some pictures later). I have a TT intake coming in next week and I was wondering.......has anyone ever relocated the IAC to someplace it wouldn't show from the side?

As I understand it, the IAC is a solenoid operated valve that opens under closed throttle conditions and flow air from the air filter to the throttle bodies to maintain proper airflow at idle. The install of the TT will change the air supply to the IAC - doesn't seem like a big deal to change the airlines to the throttle bodies (if I can find a place to fit it and maintain the wiring).

I haven't checked out the room under the tank once the TT is in place so I don't know if it can be done, but somebody has to have tried this before. Am I being crazy, or what. Any ideas?

Yes I did, in the Rules and New Members Forum (as I said in the opening line). I only got a couple of responses there - yours being one of them. I was just hoping more folks would see the question if I asked in the proper forum.

I have found that this mod can be done....several of the custom bikes done by Conquest Customs (shown on his website) have had their IAC relocated under the tank. I am not a fan of the Cheese Wedge look......even the high priced machined billet ones. These motor look so clean without them. I'm just trying to see if someone else has done this, and what issues they ran into.

Yes - of course, but I think I have it correct. I've always called those devices IAC (Idle Air Controller). Being a bit of a newb here, I figured from your post visionjohnny that I screwed up and misidentified the past I was talking about. After checking the manual.......IAC is the proper call.
