Default Belt drive cover

I have a 2013 vegas. Lowered it 1.5 inches and get the belt rub going over large bumps. Got an open belt cover on the way. Was wondering if it's ok to take the stick belt cover off and ride like that until the new one comes? Belt isn't damaged at all from the rubbing. Just makes a slight squeal.

I had the same problem with a lowering bracket. It also is rubbing inside of the primary cover. I ground a couple of the notches down on the inside for more clearance. But it still might rub with the factory mono shock cuz its too spongy. Especially if u go 2 up. Best way to solve that is to buy a better shock like a progressive

2012 hammer 8 ball
Lloydz torque tubes
rpw big slash 2-1exhaust
Lloydz cams
Burleigh handlebars
drag specialties seat
progressive 1 inch lower coil over shock
