Default tire ??

Hi All.
Can I replace my stock rear tire 180 55 B18 with a Perelli 180 55 WR 18? I understand the stock is a ply tire and the WR is not??

Thanks

It's perfectly fine to use a radial on the rear and a biased on the front. NEVER THE OTHER WAY AROUND THOUGH !!!!! If you look at European sport bikes, that's how most come new. That's the only way I run mine. BUT....... I strongly recommend you run the same brand and model, front and rear. The tread patterns are made to work with each other for handling and to displace water.

Thanks Phoenix! I will have to go for a while with the stock Dunlop on the front and the perelli on the rear. I am leaving on a 750 mile trip am don't have time to get front replaced. It also is hardly used. Bike only has 6500 miles on it.

Default radials for sure

radial tires are a step up IMO, bias tires + damper rod forks are long outdated but cheaper, is why they persist.
