Default Tripple Trees

Hi Guy's,

in Australia we are governed by the DO GOOD BRIGADE and we are not able to exceed the 40 degree rake on our forks.( Bummer as i wanted a 45 degree rake ).

I have been looking at the Tripple Tree system as that would make the Vegas have a 39.9 rake however when this design came out in the 70's everyone bagged it and claim it created negative TRAIL and therefore most guy's either wedged the head of the frame or put a junction in to the frame with a little bit of heat on the frame near the seat area.

Since we are now nearly in to the 2012 era has any body put them on there bike with any good positive remarks or is it still best to do the old style Chop and Weld.

Cheers
