Default new bars and cable length

I searched till the phone was about to die. I have a 99 v92 with I think Ness fly bars on it for the year. 8" rise or so and a huge pull back. I want to change, I still haven't decided ape style or drag style. My question is how hi can I go with using stock cables and such. I want higher bars but with less pull back than the ones I have now which puts the bar ends in line with the gas cap. Can I do 12" inch with a 4/5 PB? I'm leaning towards a t bar set up right now. Thanks

Would that be like the bars you see on SOA mounted on the Dyna's they ride?

It might work but I would think you would need to get some new cables. Really, the best way to find out is to go ahead and get the bars you want and mount it. Then try transferring the tightest cable first to see if it will work. If so you are good to go. If not just bolt the bars you have back on after figuring out how much more length you will need.

Have you talked to the guy at Witchdoctors yet? I think he can tell you and I think he also sells longer cables. If he doesn't; he will know where to get them.

That's where I got the look and idea from yes. Was always gonna do ape style but o saw that and thought it was a good look, gets my hands where they want to be but with a new school twist. Plus no one at my church had tall t bars. I was gonna go 10" figuring, 2 inches higher than I got but like 13" less pull back (if I measured right) that's why I though the 12's might fit. Was hoping someone here has experienced this with a v92. I was to get the bike back on the road quickly and not break the bank. Otherwise I will just enjoy the car the rest of the summer and park the bike till I can spend the money. (bar bolt snapped on a ride last weekend) I'm still paying the guy who did my valve springs and transmission over the winter.
