Default Kingpin braking upgrade

Looking for easiest way to upgrade for front brake on my kingpin. Was thinking dual disc setup from the hammer would be simple - just add another disc (my wheels will take a 2nd disc) and a second calliper. This is where I get stuck, the kingpin forks only have calliper mounts on one leg.
Does anybody know if you can change just the fork leg bottom on these? (Swap it to a hammer one with the calliper mount)And if so are they available to buy separate?. Or do I need to buy the whole stantion with the bottom attached.

Any advice / info greatly appreciated, there's not too much Victory info here in the uk.

Hows this go to dealer and ask if you can order the bottom half of the fork where the caliper bolts to. You would have to check to see if the fender bolts to the same place.

Or you could up grade break pads to EBC witchdoctor has them

Next time you ask questions about your bike say what year it is

i added a 2nd disc to my 13 hammer. changing just the lower costs more labor unless you can do it. check the OE parts lists from several places for the best delivered price. not sure of your fitments, but the international hammer comes with dual discs making it easy. a bigger master cylinder is required as well as the caliper + rotor + brake lines. i got some deals from conquest customs, new parts from bikes being customized prolly, scott treated me well. a matching pair of aftermarket rotors cost similar to one vic rotor. if your bike has a black centered rotor i have one like new for $90 delivered. my dual discs work great.

Are we talking upside down or conventional forks here?
ID love dual discs on my 2010 Vegas.
I bought a Cross front wheel that can take twin discs.
Thougjt of using two legs that have calipermounts
Think that would result in one being in front of and one behind the fork
I reckon the 18 inch wheel will fit okay, currently its a 90 90 21 so I'd need a different front fender too.
Might just try it with one caliper and disc first and go from there.
Also it may be possible to TIG weld some caliper mounting lygs to the existing fork leg.
Are we on the same page here?

a little search will reveal that the kingpin uses inverted forks. victory smartly $$$ uses fitments on different models with same parts sometime just a color change. i am a bolt-on guy, so my 13 hammer was just that using what the overseas hammer still uses. a beefier front tire aids braking as well with better traction than a narrower tire, sticker performance tires of the same size can help as well.

Interested in that disc. Just waiting for dealer to come back with a price for a fork bottom, if it's not a crazy price I'm gonna do the conversion ASAP.

Link below is the dealer site that built my bike. They called it a kingpin sport. It's a kingpin with a vegas rear fender & a hammer S front fender. Carbon effect dipped wheels cobra pipe with billet S&S filter and a power comander 5 which has been set up on a dyno rather than a generic map. Few other bits n pieces done and I love the bike, just feel the need for a bit more braking power.

[IMG][/IMG] here is that disc, the shipping included price is for the USA which i did not mention forgetting members out of state. i received a brake caliper for my triumph from the UK, if you decide on it with your address i could check shipping. cost is $75 + ship in USA $$. by the way your bike looks good, easily mistaken for a hammer up front. i would think is handles better with a reasonable rear tire + rides better as well!

Well, got a price back late yesterday for a new right hand fork lower - 494 + vat (+20% !) so the chances of me doing a dual disc conversion just dropped significantly.

I might look into doing this I different way. I have a couple of friends that can machine / fabricate parts for me, was thinking I could make up an adaptor plate that would let me run two callipers on one disc, one above the other. Lighter than two discs and unique - in keeping with my bike.

not sure whats available on your side of the pond for Vics but i see lots of goodies in bike mags over your way. my pretech 6 piston unit i got from TriumphTwinPower is great, also Beringer has great stuff, iron rotors + 6 piston calipers can be effective using one rotor + as mentioned save weight + $$$, keep hunting + use multiple searches as $$$ are paid to search results on top of the lists again + again

If you did two calipers on one disc you hit the breaks hard am guessing its go to pull to that side. Beside you would have to run a brake line to it and get a different master cylinder.
Why not just go to EBC break pads
