Default Incredibly loud gear whine

So after i lowered the bike earlier this year, i started to notice a gear whine type noise when i would hit a bump and load the suspension. I didn't think anything of it until recently when i changed my tire and it got worse. I thought it had to do with bad wheel alignment or the new oil i started using, until i removed the front pulley cover and looked more closely. It was the top of the belt rubbing against the front cover. So I'm going to grind off part of the cover where it rubs.

Hey! Make sure that bolt on pulley is torqued correctly while you are there.

If it makes any difference, the belt was all the way to the outside of the pulley when i removed the cover.
