Default Cutting windshield

Has anyone had any experience cutting a windshield? I'm lookin for some tips on how to do it right. Thanks - Bugs.

Jigsaw, 24 tooth blade, random orbital sander with 120, 180 and 220 paper (makes it easier). Mask off the windshield where you want to cut wiht enough masking tape so that the saw does not touch the windshield. draw out your line on the tape then cut leaving the line exposed. Take your sander with 120 paper and sanddown to the line. then switch paper to 180 and round the cut edge, follow that with 220 paper to really get it smooth. Then remove tape and ride. Takes longer to layout the line and get it right than it does to cut and smooth.

What kind of windshield or bike do you have?

You could keep the tall one for cold months and get a short one for summer.
