Default Looking at an 02

Throw me a bone, fellas. I've got an opportunity at the best bike Polaris ever produced. A V92C. Now, I know that was the 1st year of the freedom engine and if memory serves, the tranny was a red-headed step-child made by Kawasaki before the ultimate fix of the Fuji Heavy Industries tranny on the 03 and beyond...replacing the failed units of the early bikes.

This black 02 is Pristine. Has 25K on the clock. Dead battery. Runs rugh when 1st started (like all Victory's)

Any other issues? That I should be concerned with ? Many thanks everybody. I want back into the Victory fold and that V92C model presses all the right buttons for me. Just love that bike..always have. I miss my 99 and my 04 Pin.

Probably sub 3K on the price. He wants it out of his garage.

Thanks again everybody.

I like my '02 TC! Good, solid motor and tranny. Since the battery was dead make sure you do the throttle point reset. That may be cause of the rough running. Don't worry too much about the tranny. Maybe it's not the best but it isn't the worst! For the price, get it and ride!

Go for it man. Not really any other problems with em. For the running rough, I'd check the throttle body boot and vacuum caps. If you can get it for under $3k do it

So did you buy it? I have a 2002 and a 2003 and love them both.

No, I didn't. I was only going to get it if it were an excellent buy. He wanted 3K, I offered 2500. He didn't take it. I think its worth 3K but I've got 2 motorcycles already so I didn't push it. He still has it. If he changes his mind...I'll go for it. We really aren't all that far part Thanks.

EDIT: ps... it did have a dead battery and a cracked TB boot fwiw....
