It's mostly common sense. The more common metric hand wrenches, a screw driver (philips and straight), maybe an adjustable wrench, a shop rag, If there's room; a socket set and rachet, and a set of metric allen wrenches. I like to wrap some black electrical tape around the base of one of the screwdrivers.

Put a variety of the proper size (physical and amperage) fuses in there as well. I also like to include a coil of strong thin wire and a Leatherman type tool.

Yes; a combo pliers and wire cutter is a very good idea. The Leatherman cover them nicely in a small package. The wire cutters on my Leatherman isn't the greatest but for emergency use it's just fine.

You might want to look at this recent discussion in the forum for some good ideas and photos.

Born in the deepest jungles of India, I was raised by a friendly bear, until I was kidnapped by a pack of unruly baboons who taught me the finer points of swing jazz, all the while being stalked by an incompetent python and an evil but mis-understood tiger... Ummm, wait a minute, that's the Jungle book, no I was raised just outside of St. Louis, But...in the deepest jungles of a middle class neighborhood .
