Default 99 Vic V92C. Starter problems

Having a problem with my starter. When the weather is warm the starter works fine. When it is even alittle cold out the starter will enguage and turn the engine over for a couple seconds the sound like it kicks the starter out and free spins. Let go of the key and try to start again it will do the same thing. After you start it ( if the battery doesn't die before) and it warms up it will start no problem. Would it be the torque limiter?

How old is your battery? Are the cables tight? Add lock washers to the battery bolts to prevent them from loosing up.
If your not sure about the battery put a full charge in it go to auto store and have them do a load text on it.
If battery is good then do a power draw test on the starter you need a manual for that.
Parts Unlimited has starter for your bike but its $210 bucks.

Yes Got a New Glass mat battery about a year ago. So it is not that. It only does it when it is cold out. Most of the time anyway. When it is like 70 and up no problem.
