Default A Question for the TC owners. (Lighting)

I just picked up a light bar for my SC, My question is how the lights
are hooked up on the TCs, That is how are they switched. Do they
come on with the headlight or do you have a switch on the handle bar
controls. and are they fused separately or with the headlight.
any info you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There is a switch up under the triple trees.

Was that factory that way? and is it just a toggle or a rocker switch?

Dann they get their power while on low beam as part of state law (Im told, didnt look it up) and when you switch to high they go out.
The TC also has a wired switch on the left side of the triple T for on or off. Up to you if you wire in a toggle or not as they were a crappy push button that eventually fails so as on mine, cut and spliced together. Now, power one, head light on along with driving lights. Flip to high beam and they go out. Double checked wiring schematic and it has power from the low beam, common ground with a on/off switch wired in if you want.

Personnally, I don't see why have the switch when mulitple bikes I see out there have driving lights mounted on their crashbars that don't go out on high beam nor does my HID kick off on my VV when going to high beam... Who knows, I have better things to do with my time then look it up.

Anyway, that should do ya. Lookin forward to the pick. What you doing for turn signals???

A crappy ass push button environmental switch. Upon failure, mine spliced and happy once again! Factory install.

Thanks for the replies guys, big help. Just wanted to be careful, with
the stories i hear about the electronics on these bikes.

The light bar has factory turn signals on it with no spots. I have a real nice set of spots from a Harley. (The light bar is a Ebay item)

Sounds like a nice add on and will pull in the retro look for sure! I used HD turn signals in place of the factory turns when I had one fail... Really looks nice and only about 75 bucks for light assembly and parts. Will add the visors to them one of these days... Also going to swap the bulbs for Amber 1157 LED bulbs at some point. Got to get the measurements with the HD len's on there.
Don't forget to post a update pic!
Safe ridin, Tim

Yea I might have kept them but they were plastic and severly pitted plus both connectors in the turn signals were continuing to have issues so went with the HD's. Either way I really like the look of the C's and the TC's with the driving lights. My Goldwing buddies give plenty of accolades to visability. Which is why I couldnt see having the switch so when it failed, I just soldered and heatshrunk it inline. Im still running the clear stock bulbs but I have toyed with going to the amber bulbs again for the more retro look. Lookin forward to the pics.
