Default Do '01 V92's have trans. issues?

I'm reading about some of the earlier bikes having a weak gear in the transmission, and if it fails the engine needs to be dismantled to fix it, assuming parts could still be found.

This has me a little concerned. I don't ride the bike hard, but I'm still a relatively new rider.

Do the '01's suffer this problem, and if so, is there any way to tell if it has already been addressed by the previous owner?

Thanks!

Some '01s had trans issues & these were the ones they came up with the cushion drive fix to buffer the gear engagement. You can look to see if your wheel sprocket has the rubber cushion blocks in it or have a dealer run the VIN and check for recalls performed.
