Default Welding question...

I need to have the mounts for my sidecar rig tack welded in a couple of places.

Because the sidecar is attached to the bike - 2003 V92C - I'm wondering what aside from disconnecting the battery and ECM I should do prior to welding.

Specifically, do I need to completely remove the ECM module from the bike's frame to prevent damage or just disconnect it?

Thanks!

This might be a bit late, but better safe than sorry.Remove both battery cables....negative first and disconnect ecu and remove. Not a hard job.Reverse for assembly.

Default Welding

Also make sure that you ground very close to your weld zone and make sure that you do not ground through a bearing without a jumper.
