Cool National Motorcycle Museum visit?

+I may visit #2656 at the National Motorcycle Museum with #219 in tow the week of 8/26. If the stars align, is anyone interested in touring the museum with me?

On #219, I needed to raise the beach bars because they contacted the tank before steering lock, and recalled Pete Fredette mentioning that OEM risers with an additional inch did the trick. Stock risers are 2-3/8 and the desired OEMs are 3-3/8. Zack had a set available... 8^D

In this first image, you'll see the extended risers installed with a stock riser standing guard. The OEM risers enable re-use of #219's stock stamped handlebar clamp, seen at the top. The second image glaringly clears the scene.

The extended risers allow lock-to-lock swing of the handlebars, and are quite comfortable, indeed.

In preparation for the western journey, I've installed a wheel chock on the trailer.

+That's my 1999 V92C #219, glassback. It's almost street-worthy after a kickstand down endo into a telephone pole back in 1999. I replaced it with #2656, which I then put 200k on while #219 gradually got rebuilt. Now that #2656 is in the museum, I'm intensifying #219's resurrection.

The exhaust & pipe is a SportCruiser Megaphone Slip On Exhaust Kit PN 2872808.

I still need to source a horn & license plate mount. I have the turn/taillamps already, but won't install them until the replacement frame is stamped, thus "legalizing" it.

Ride on.
