Default Soft lowers question

I received a set of the Cavalry Customs soft lowers a few months ago and just tried to install them for the first time this morning. The top strap goes right across the chrome heat shield of the exhaust. Has anyone else had this problem? what did you do to avoid melting that strap?

Thanks in advance

My strap goes across it also, but the plastic buckle rests on the pipe. I have not had a problem with it melting.

It is the buckle that hits on mine also. I didn't know if it would melt or not. I'll give them a try and if I have any problems I'll post back. Thanks for the reply

pics as promised, of one side at least. Other side was in a shadow and the pics were dark. They work well. it was 60 out today so the wind was a little chilly on my knees, hardly any wind hitting my boots. They are worth the $50 for them.

Can't tell much from the photos. Guessing there made wrong.
You know better plastic will melt on hot pipes.
They look like there made to big for the crash bar.
