Thats all that was wrong with my TC when I bought it (used), I guess the PO didn't use the MFD because much because he had a NUVU on it and it was the right MODE selector that was the culprit for my MFD inop. Simple clean and excersise and works like a champ. Will say that first 1000 miles it was still a little sketchy and didnt cycle through too easily but after constant use it cleared up and works like a champ. Also had problems with the trip reset/select on the left grip but it fixed itself after constant use. Good luck...
